Where a channel integration in Tradebox uses an API, the user has the opportunity to automate the download to occur at given intervals. To apply this setting select Settings from the Configuration menu. This will generate the Settings screen which will open in the Downloads tab.
Tradebox can be configured to download Every Day at a given time or download at a given Interval. Interval options are every:
- 30 Minutes
- 1 Hour
- 2 Hours
- 4 Hours
- 8 Hours
- 12 Hours
These settings will only work for channel integrations that utilise an API connection. These are:
If automatic downloading is implemented, we highly recommend establishing a setting to retrieve orders for a given amount of days. This allows the user to configure a channel to always go back X amount of days and ensures that any orders that were not initially downloaded because they didn't initially meet a download criteria are not missed in a future download when their status changes and meets the established download criteria. This feature is called Days to Request Sales For and exists in all of the above API channels. To access the setting simply go to the Sales Channel List, double click on the channel and set the amount of days required.
Different API Channels have different rules on how far back data can be retrieved. For example eBay only allows data to be collected for a maximum of 30 days and PayPal only allows 90 days.
NOTE: The further back a channel is set to go back the longer a download will take, especially if the channel in question produces lots of orders.
