Tradebox connects to Magento via API, using API connection details.
See the Channel Configuration article for more information on tweaking the channel integration settings once the sales channel setup wizard is complete.

Creating the Sales Channel
Launch the New Sales Channel Wizard via Channels > New
The wizard will take you through the necessary steps to create your channel. All options can be later amended via Channels > Edit
Choose Magento as your Marketplace. Click Next.
Enter a name for the Sales Channel (max. 50 characters). This is a label purely for you to identify the channel and can be amended at any time.
Each Magento connection downloads orders in a single currency; downloading orders in multiple currencies from the same site requires multiple Sales Channels to be set up. Choose your Site Currency from the drop-down.
Choose your Site Version from the drop-down *Version 2 Magento sites not available in current build*.
API Connection Details
Complete your API URL, API User Name and API Password. We recommend copying and pasting the credentials to avoid any typos. The API URL is your homepage, though it may be necessary to add /index.php e.g. http://www.tradebox.uk.com/index.php
Click Test Connection to check that Tradebox can connect with the Magento API. If an error appears, check your details and retry starting the URL with http/https and ending with/without /index.php. Once the test is successful, click Next to continue.
Note - The API Password is case sensitive. The username and URL are not.
Tradebox can filter orders by Magento customer group. Choose which you groups you wish to download orders from; if you wish to download all orders then tick Download against all customer groups in this screen. Ticking both the Download and On Hold boxes will place all orders from that customer group on hold – no further action (e.g. despatching, posting to accounts) will be performed until you change the status of the order after download via Orders > Status.
Tradebox can also filter orders by Magento order status. At least one status must be entered for orders to download. Statuses can be added individually – click the (+) button, key your status into the Status column (this is case sensitive and must be exactly as shown on Magento) and choose the corresponding Tradebox Status from the drop-down. Alternatively, click the Download icon to download a sample of orders and identify statuses directly from your actual orders. Click Next to continue.
The Order Number Prefix can be set to filter orders if you have several different websites running through the same Magento admin panel. By default (0) it will download all orders, but can be set to download only orders starting with the number entered.
Product Prices are Net: by default, Tradebox handles prices as gross. If your Magento site outputs net prices, tick this box.
Map existing Product Records: if ticked, Tradebox will automatically create a mapping between existing product records in the Products module and the items on orders as they’re downloaded. This automatic mapping will only be created where the SKU in the Tradebox product record and the Online SKU on the order are the same. Existing mappings can be amended and new mappings created at any time via Products > Mapping.
Import Products From Inventory: if ticked, Tradebox will download product details that are already set up in Magento. This may take some time, depending on the number of products.
Import Products From File: if ticked, Tradebox will allow you to import a CSV file containing product details. This is a quick way to batch-create Product Records in Tradebox that match the list of products on your marketplace. Click the […] button > browse to and select your file > Open. The expected file structure for product imports can be seen below.
Note - CSV files will display all header fields followed by data fields, so on viewing the file in Excel headers should occupy row 1, with product data in row 2 onwards.
Click Finish to complete the wizard.
Once the Sales Channel wizard is complete you can add more settings and adjust existing settings inside the channel record. See the Channel Configuration article for more information.
